Mike works principally for private clients. This encompasses drafting wills, estate planning, undertaking probate applications and estate administration, frequently involving multiple legal jurisdictions, and preparing Powers of Attorney and Guardianship applications.
He is also a Notary Public and provides notarial services tailored to suit the needs of both corporate and private clients, offering a fast and efficient service in an area where timing can often be critical.
Mike also serves as one of the two Deputy Registrars of the Guernsey Probate Registry, having been asked and appointed in 2021. The Registry has responsibility for proving Wills and issuing Letters of Administration in deceased estates in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

- Administering an estate on an intestacy where there were over 140 heirs located in Guernsey, the UK, Australia, Canada, Greece, Germany and the USA.
- Acting for foreign heirs and executors looking to recover assets located in Guernsey
- Negotiating a settlement for an unmarried cohabitee against the estate of her late partner following changes in the Inheritance Laws in Guernsey.
- Administering a Guernsey estate which also included liaising with lawyers in other jurisdictions to collect in assets situate in Jersey, the UK, Europe and elsewhere.
Michael was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1988 before becoming a Guernsey Advocate in 1989. He has been a practising Notary Public since 2000.
