Katherine has considerable commercial and legal experience in both the European and Asian bank and corporate markets, dealing with investment and structured products, debt and asset financing, derivatives, commodities and regulatory investigations.
- Restructuring and migration of six multi-billion dollar securitisation structures for a leading international investment bank from the US to Guernsey.
- Structuring alternative debt funding for Guernsey corporates including the Cherry Godfrey June 2016 loan note issuance.
- Setting up the underlying debt framework for listed open-ended debt funds.
- Advising on debt structures for fund providing debt finance to private equity.
Katherine joined Babbé LLP after more than 13 years’ experience as in-house legal counsel for leading investment banks in both Europe and Asia, latterly as an Executive Director and Assistant General Counsel for JPMorgan Chase Bank for Asia-Pacific. Prior to JPMorgan, she was a Director for Lehman Brothers in London and held in-house counsel roles at both Rabobank and Dresdner Bank. She originally trained and qualified at Ashurst. Katherine has also held the role as chair of the ISDA Energy, Commodities & Developing Products Asia-Pacific Committee. She leads Babbé LLP's corporate team.
