Jael practises in a broad range of private client areas, including drafting wills for local and non-resident individuals, all aspects of estate planning and estate administration such as advising on Guernsey’s probate procedures, dealing with intestacies and obtaining Guernsey grants of probate and letters of administration.
She also deals with applications for Administration Orders relating to Guernsey real estate, Guardianship, as well as preparing general powers of attorney in Guernsey and assisting with applications for the recognition of foreign powers of attorney.
- Managing a project advising current Babbé Will clients on their Wills and how the changes in the Guernsey Inheritance law may affect their circumstances.
- Administering Guernsey estates for heirs, personal representatives and executors from the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Argentina and Mexico.
- Obtaining (in only the second application of its kind in Guernsey) a Guardianship order for a spouse who was confined at home and unable to attend Court.
Jael qualified as a Solicitor in England in 2014. She gained experience in England advising on a range of employment, property and private client matters, before joining the Wills and Estates team at Babbé LLP in 2015.
