Ian is a partner at Babbe and head of the litigation team.  He has unrivalled breadth and quality of experience as a litigator having practised in commercial litigation for nearly 20 years at the London Bar before moving to Guernsey in 2004 with his locally born wife and young family.  He undertakes a wide range of commercial litigation, frequently acting for and against banks and trust companies.  He is an accredited mediator and an associate member of the Chancery Bar Association.  He frequently advises in relation to compliance and regulatory issues.  He also has many years experience of the insurance and reinsurance market which he puts to use in advising on regulatory matters, policy wordings and other issues arising out of Guernsey’s thriving captive insurance sector.
