Babbé’s support helps Guernsey Rugby Academy gain its Mini & Youth Seal of Approval press release

The Bailiff, Sir Geoffrey Rowland presented The Guernsey Rugby Academy with the Rugby Football Union's Mini and Youth Seal of Approval accreditation for the standard of its provision of rugby for young players on the Island. 

In a ceremony held at The Princess Royal Performing Arts Centre, with over 100 players, their families and sponsors, the Bailiff presented the award to Ian Swan, partner at Babbé, who are the Training and Development Sponsors of the Academy.

Mr. Swan said:  “This is a prestigious award and is tangible recognition of all the hard work undertaken by the Academy officials over the past 12 months.  At Babbé we are all extremely proud to be associated with the Academy and all it does for young players on the Island.”

The RFU introduced the Seal of Approval programme in association with Sport England and the Clubmark scheme in 2002 to recognise clubs in reaching standards required in the development of rugby for young people, and to plan for the long-term sustainability of the club.

The RFU's Community Rugby director Andrew Scoular said: "This accreditation will show all those with an interest in rugby and sports development that The Guernsey Rugby Academy is providing its young people with a safe, well-organised and enjoyable environment in which to learn and play rugby."

Ruth Bougourd Remembrance Clay Shoot 2011

Babbé supports The Ladies College

Babbé have recently made a donation to the Ladies College in Guernsey enabling them to purchase Hockey and Netball kits
